The short version. The Reroll extension keeps everything on your computer and sends nothing anywhere. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics, in the extension or on this site. Apart from the basic logs our web host keeps, the only personal information we ever receive is what you give us when you buy Pro or email us.
Who we are
Reroll is made by Matthew Hixon, an individual based in Pennsylvania, USA ("we" or "us"). You can reach us at support@reroll.click.
The Reroll extension
What it stores, on your computer only
- Your settings, such as whether Reroll is on and whether it rerolls ads during videos, and a few running counts.
- The date your Pro trial started, and your Pro key if you add one.
- A log of the YouTube videos where Reroll was active, so the popup can show your numbers: each video's ID, how long it took to reach the video, how many reloads it used, how long each ad was and whether it could be skipped, and, for ads during a video, the spot in the video where you were. The log keeps your last 1,000 videos.
- Weekly totals for your history, kept until you reset them.
- While you watch, a few short-lived notes in that YouTube tab's own session storage, so a reroll can carry on after the page reloads. They're deleted when you close the tab.
The log of video IDs is a partial record of what you watched, so anyone who uses your Chrome profile could see it with Export. You can delete it any time with Reset.
What it sends
Nothing. Reroll makes no network requests of its own. It doesn't send your data to us or to anyone else, and it checks your Pro key on your computer, without contacting a server. The only time Reroll opens the internet for you is when you click "Unlock Pro," which opens this website in a new tab, like any link.
Permissions
- Storage, to save the information above in Chrome on your computer.
- Access to www.youtube.com, to notice when an ad starts and reload the page. Reroll can't see or change any other site.
Your control
In the popup, Export data saves everything Reroll has stored to a file, and Reset deletes your stats. Uninstalling Reroll deletes everything it stored.
This website
- There are no cookies, analytics, ads or tracking scripts. The fonts, images and example video all come from this site itself, so your visit doesn't contact Google or anyone else.
- The company that hosts this site, Railway, may keep basic request logs, such as IP address, the page requested and the time, to run the site and keep it secure. We don't use them to identify you.
- Links to other sites, such as the Chrome Web Store, Blender or Creative Commons, follow those sites' own privacy policies.
When you buy Pro
Checkout is run by our payment provider, which is named on the checkout page. It collects your payment details, your email address and your country (for tax), and handles them under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number.
From the payment provider we receive details like your email address, your name if you gave one, your country, what you bought, the price and whether the payment went through. We use this to:
- Send your Pro key and receipt, and send the key again if you lose it.
- Handle refunds and answer your questions.
- Keep the records that tax and accounting rules require.
We don't send marketing emails, and we never sell your information or share it for advertising. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require, and nothing else longer than needed.
When you email us
We use your message and email address to answer you, and keep them only as long as needed for that.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run Reroll's sales, email and website do their jobs with your information: the payment provider, our email provider and our host. We may also share information if the law requires it. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for advertising, as those terms are used in California law.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it. In practice, that's your purchase record and any emails. Write to support@reroll.click and we'll reply within 30 days. We may need to keep some records, such as tax records, for as long as the law requires.
If you're in the EU or UK: we use purchase information to provide what you bought and to meet our legal duties, and support emails because we have a legitimate interest in answering you. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Our providers may process information in the United States.
Security
We hold very little: purchase records and emails. The accounts that hold them, at the payment provider, email provider and web host, are protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in. If we ever learned of a breach affecting you, we would tell you.
Children
Reroll isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. The extension itself collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and point out important changes on this site. If Reroll ever needed to send data anywhere, we'd say so here first, before the update that does it.
